About the Role

The University of Cincinnati’s Lindner Center of HOPE is hiring an Outpatient Therapist to join a mission-driven team. In this role, you will conduct psychosocial assessments and provide individual, group, and/or family therapy via Telehealth, collaborating closely with psychologists, advanced practice nurses, and psychiatrists. While starting primarily via Telehealth, this position will require three days of in-person work per week in Mason, Ohio once construction of a new outpatient building is complete.

What You'll Do

  • Perform psychosocial assessments for patients and/or families.
  • Formulate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with Lindner Center of HOPE social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other treatment team members.
  • Maintain knowledge of external resources for patient needs.
  • Perform all required patient care documentation accurately, legibly, and within expected timeframes.
  • Liaison with community agencies and participate in area activities related to mental health.
  • Maintain current licensure and participate in continuing education to maintain competency.
  • Participate in departmental and LCOH quality improvement efforts, ensuring peer review standards are met.
  • Participate in community education and outreach.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • For LPCC: Degree must be from a clinical mental health counseling, clinical rehabilitation counseling, or addiction counseling program accredited by CACREP.
  • For LISW: Degree must be in social work from a CSWE accredited program.
  • For IMFT: Degree must be from a program identified as marriage and family therapy.
  • For LPCC: State of Ohio Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • For LISW: State of Ohio Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW).
  • For IMFT: State of Ohio Independent Family and Marriage Therapist (IMFT).

Nice to Have

  • Doctorate Degree in Social Work or Counseling.
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker with supervision designation (LISW-S).
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervision designation (LPCC-S).
  • Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist with supervision designation (IMFT-S).
  • At least 5 years of experience as a therapist in an outpatient setting working with a relevant patient population.
  • Knowledge of assessment and counseling practices and principles. Experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is ideal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and work with others to ensure the best clinical outcome.
  • Ability to enthusiastically follow and model the Lindner Center of HOPE mission, vision, and values.

Team & Environment

You will join a team of Telehealth Outpatient Therapists comprised of LPCCs, LISWs, and IMFTs, collaborating closely with psychologists, advanced practice nurses, and psychiatrists.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role based in Mason, Ohio. While starting primarily via Telehealth, the position will transition to requiring three days of in-person work per week after the construction of a new outpatient building is complete.
