Role Overview
This position supports legal teams in handling trademark litigation matters from initiation through resolution. The paralegal will play a key role in preparing filings, managing discovery, and ensuring compliance with court and agency deadlines. Based in Austin, the role operates in a hybrid model with required in-office attendance twice weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain both physical and digital case files, including official court documents and client correspondence.
- Draft and finalize legal pleadings such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, responses, subpoenas, and declarations.
- Conduct document reviews to identify materials relevant to discovery and manage production workflows.
- Submit filings electronically across federal courts, the USPTO’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, state courts, and domain dispute forums.
- Verify legal citations and factual references in briefs and motions using authoritative research tools.
- Prepare exhibits, appendices, and trial materials for hearings, depositions, and arbitration proceedings.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for transcription, copying, and other litigation support services.
- Monitor and update case dockets, ensuring all deadlines are tracked and communicated to attorneys.
- Log time daily for accurate billing and assist in deadline management across active cases.
- Review incoming legal correspondence and recommend appropriate follow-up actions.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or ABA-approved paralegal certification and have at least five years of litigation experience in a law firm environment. Experience must include handling civil cases in federal district courts. Familiarity with federal procedural rules is essential, along with proven skills in document, docket, and records management systems. Proficiency with PACER and legal research platforms is required. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple matters under tight timelines.

Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a salary range of $75,000 to $115,000 annually, with overtime eligibility.
