Join a mission-driven legal team as a legal extern in the fall of 2026, supporting high-impact environmental advocacy across Florida and Puerto Rico. Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced attorneys on matters involving water quality, species conservation, energy policy, and community-based environmental justice
- Conduct thorough legal and factual research to support case development and advocacy efforts
- Gain firsthand insight into litigation procedures and administrative law processes
Qualifications
Candidates must be currently enrolled as a second- or third-year law student during the fall 2026 term. The externship requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week over 12 to 16 weeks, and participants must be eligible to receive academic credit or fulfill a graduation requirement through this placement.
Strong written communication, analytical reasoning, and research abilities are essential. Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw is expected. Successful candidates will demonstrate initiative, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
Familiarity with environmental law, administrative law, or related fields is preferred but not required.

This position offers flexibility in work location, with options to work remotely within the U.S. or in a hybrid model based out of the Tallahassee, Florida office. Compensation and Credit
