Role Overview
As an Audit and Exam Support Specialist, you will support the Legal Risk Compliance team by ensuring smooth coordination during audits, regulatory exams, and internal reviews. This role is central to maintaining accurate records, tracking compliance actions, and facilitating communication across departments. You'll work hands-on with documentation, data systems, and internal stakeholders to uphold operational integrity in a structured, process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate administrative aspects of audits and exams, including tracking requests, deadlines, and response timelines
- Collect, compile, and organize documentation needed for audit submissions
- Maintain up-to-date logs for audit findings, open items, and remediation progress
- Follow up with internal teams to ensure timely responses to audit inquiries
- Log and categorize incoming audit questions and exam requests
- Prepare materials for internal reviews, audits, and regulatory exams
- Enter and update data in internal systems such as Jira and other tracking platforms
- Support day-to-day coordination and process execution within the compliance function
- Carry out additional tasks as needed to support team objectives
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. You should be dependable, accurate in administrative work, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving setting. Strong organizational abilities, close attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential. Experience working across teams to meet deadlines is highly valued.
While not required, a bachelor’s degree, prior administrative or operations experience, or background in mortgage or financial services can be beneficial. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Excel, or other documentation systems is a plus.
