Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist for our Non-Malignant Hematology portfolio. In this field-based and remote role, you will be responsible for delivering sales performance and promoting products within the oncology, hematology, or rare disease portfolio across the Oregon and Idaho territory. The role requires significant travel and cross-functional collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build and achieve shared goals, acting as ONE team in your geography.
- Develop and execute a strategic call plan to achieve sales goals and improve access and sales opportunities for a highly technical product portfolio.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of your territory's market landscape, including competitors, market segments, product details, and clinical data.
- Embody an account management mentality, developing and executing account-level plans with knowledge of local healthcare systems, EMRs, and prior-authorization claims processing.
- Use sales data reporting tools to analyze trends and combine them with customer insights to identify growth opportunities within your territory.
- Leverage social media platforms to capture customer insights that drive tactical execution and improve customer experience.
- Demonstrate agility in moving between non-digital and digital settings, and strategically use non-personal tools to deliver customized customer experiences.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or a sales role of similar complexity within the last 5 years.
- Strong ability to collaborate, work cross-functionally within a matrix environment, and communicate clinical product information.
- A validated track record of consistent high performance and proficiency in navigating and successfully selling to large accounts and key customer segments.
- Candidate must reside within the territory, or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
- Ability to travel 60-80% over a broad geography. Must have a valid driver's license.
- Driving is an Essential Function of this role.
Nice to Have
- An advanced degree.
- Experience across multiple therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
- Broad understanding in areas such as patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs.

- Compensation ranges: Oncology Representative: $81,200 - $150,800; Oncology Specialist: $114,100 - $211,900; Senior Oncology Specialist: $126,000 - $234,000. Eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
Work Mode
This is a field-based and remote position located in the local country. The territory covers Oregon and Idaho.
