Position Overview
This role is responsible for advancing respiratory product sales across a defined territory in Connecticut, including Bridgeport, New Haven, Danbury, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will engage healthcare professionals through strategic outreach, delivering accurate product information and supporting prescribing decisions in alignment with ethical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a territory-specific business plan that aligns with broader sales objectives
- Deliver informative, compliant presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and other key stakeholders
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets through consistent field activity and performance tracking
- Use data from prescribers and pharmacy teams to refine outreach strategies
- Prepare targeted call plans for high-priority accounts to maximize engagement
- Maintain strong peer and management relationships to support team goals
- Ensure efficient use of samples, literature, and promotional tools to increase product visibility
- Clearly articulate product advantages compared to competitive offerings
- Address customer questions and concerns with discretion and professionalism
- Commit to ongoing learning in product knowledge, disease states, and sales techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
- Minimum of one year of experience in pharmaceutical sales preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals
- Strong business insight and strategic thinking abilities
- Effective negotiation and influence skills demonstrated in field settings
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to team outcomes
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to territory management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Must reside within or near the designated territory
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range is $100,000 – $150,000 for Professional level and $108,000 – $162,000 for Senior level, with actual offer dependent on experience, skills, and location.
