Work within a nationally recognized cancer institute to deliver high-quality, coordinated care to patients facing oncology-related conditions. In this full-time onsite role, you’ll conduct thorough assessments, interpret diagnostic results, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. Your expertise will ensure timely interventions and consistent follow-up aligned with established medical guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate patient histories and perform physical exams to determine clinical needs
- Order and assess diagnostic studies to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Document findings and contribute to the development of patient-specific treatment strategies
- Coordinate care across specialties to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Provide education to patients and families about palliative care options and their role in overall health management
- Collaborate with supervising physicians on care goals and adjustments during periodic reviews
- Refer cases to specialists or consulting physicians when advanced intervention is needed
- Support the creation and refinement of clinical protocols to enhance care delivery
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and accredited master’s in nursing
- Current APRN and RN licensure in Illinois or Wisconsin
- Valid DEA registration for the state of practice
- Active CPR or BLS certification
- Eligibility to practice under state-defined Nurse Practitioner scope
