As a Stockhandler on the 2nd shift, you will play a key role in supporting production operations by managing inventory flow and ensuring materials are available when needed. Your responsibilities include selecting components from storage, preparing orders for assembly or shipment, and maintaining precise inventory records through regular cycle counts.
What You'll Do
- Retrieve parts from racks, trays, and shelves for use in manufacturing, repairs, or sub-assembly processes.
- Conduct daily stock audits to verify quantities and report discrepancies promptly.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, ensuring only compliant materials are accepted.
- Replenish storage areas efficiently to support uninterrupted production.
- Label and tag inventory accurately to maintain traceability and organization.
- Update inventory records using computer systems to reflect real-time stock levels.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment in a warehouse or shop setting.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with experience in data entry and inventory tracking software.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift items throughout the shift.
- Attention to detail in handling, documenting, and organizing stock to prevent errors.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- U.S. Person status as defined by ITAR and EAR regulations, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.
- Prior experience in inventory control or stockroom operations is preferred.
