Corewell Health is looking for a Nurse Tech to act as a team member delivering quality patient care on a 39-bed Medical Surgical GI/GU unit. You will specialize in supporting care for urology, surgical oncology, and gastrointestinal patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
What You'll Do
- Act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under RN or Provider supervision.
- Perform basic clinical skills per department guidelines and communicate observations to the health care team.
- Collect and report patient and family needs in coordination with the RN or Provider.
- Perform responsibilities including taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, and catheterization.
- Act as a safety attendant for patients.
- Ensure required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within 90 days.
