Corewell Health is hiring a Medical Lab Technologist Toxicology to perform, interpret, and correlate clinical laboratory tests following departmental protocols. This role assists in physician diagnosis and treatment by preparing specimens for testing, screening patient specimens, and analyzing patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
What You'll Do
- Operate laboratory equipment and perform functions including calibration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, instrument validation studies, quality control, proficiency testing, and documentation.
- Read, interpret and correlate clinical test results with patient history, diagnosis, and clinical condition to explain test results.
- Document and communicate significant information and special occurrences which may affect test results to the appropriate clinician.
- Routinely check supplies and reagents to ensure adequate supply levels and ensure reagents are properly labeled and dated.
- Direct work of laboratory assistants or laboratory services representatives and auxiliary personnel as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- CRT-Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - ASCP.
- CRT-Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP.
- CRT-American Medical Technologist, Certified (AMT) - AMT.
- CRT-Clinical Toxicology - AACC (required for Toxicology Department).

- 1 year of relevant experience in a related field.
