GoHealth Urgent Care is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a per diem GoFollowUp role. In this position, you'll answer incoming patient calls and conduct outreach to relay visit details and manage follow-up care. You'll be responsible for explaining results, answering patient questions, and handling escalated concerns.
What You'll Do
- Answer incoming calls from patients and conduct outreach to relay details on patient visits.
- Review and manage patient results for various labs and imaging.
- Relay results and care plans to patients, explaining results and answering their questions.
- Respond to escalated questions and concerns as needed.
- Respond to patient inquiries both telephonically and by email regarding visits and follow-up.
- Identify and prioritize patient needs.
- Perform outreach for patient follow-up.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- 3+ years of clinical practice experience.
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant State License.
- Proficient in relevant computer applications/electronic medical records.
- Ability to type quickly with basic computer knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail oriented, able to rely on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to interact and treat all persons with fairness, respect and sensitivity to cultural/social differences.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
- Knowledge of administration and clerical processes.
- Knowledge of call center telephony and technology.
Nice to Have
- Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care experience.
- Previous exposure and awareness on how to deliver lab results to patients.
