Perfetti Van Melle is looking for an NPD Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior NPD Technologist to develop new products and technologies, as well as improve existing ones. You will conduct industrial trials to validate ingredients, machinery, and processes, ensuring all customer requirements for quality, safety, and manufacturability are met while driving continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support regarding process parameters on different production lines.
- Keep process parameters, formula sheets, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and other technical documentation updated on the floor and in the Integrated Management System.
- Conduct industrial trials to evaluate new ingredients, suppliers, and products.
- Arrange shipments to external parties for samples obtained during industrial trials.
- Perform accelerated shelf-life testing (ASLT) on samples from industrial trials when applicable.
- Provide technical support to the production area on existing processes and new product development, supporting problem resolution and analysis.
- Execute a daily report of process parameter deviations occurring on different production lines.
- Prepare reports on the results of industrial trials and ASLT reports.
- Participate in talks and training provided by the Safety, Hygiene, and Environment team.
- Participate in continuous improvement processes in candy manufacturing and savings projects, validating plant performance of alternative raw materials or process improvements.
- Propose process improvements regarding parameters to contribute to gains in time and quality.
- Comply with internal work regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Chemical Biologist, Biochemical Engineering, Food Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Food Industry, or 1 year of experience in case of internal movement from areas related to the position.
- Training in Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, food defense, food fraud, pest control, and integrated management systems.

- Degree title (Desirable).
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Senior NPD Technologist, providing essential support for our new product development initiatives.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position.
