This is a Business-to-Business opportunity within the food sector Essential Criteria: • Academic qualification in food technology with proven ingredient sales expertise • Candidacy strictly limited to qualified Food Technology professionals We are recruiting a Country Manager /Technical Sales Manager for Food Ingredients in Nigeria For a prominent Food Ingredients Distribution Company Application Guidelines: • Exclusively for candidates with Business-to-Business Food Ingredients sales background • Current employment in Food Ingredients Distribution or Production preferred • Nigeria represents our third African expansion hub after East and South African markets • Mandatory requirement: Food Technology degree and ingredient sales experience • Candidate will establish a localized corporate entity in Nigeria • Focus on distributing premium value-added ingredients from industry-leading suppliers Position Objectives: We seek a Country Manager (25% duration)/Sales Manager (75% duration) with profound food technology and sales expertise. Responsibilities encompass: • Establishing organizational presence in Nigeria • Driving market performance and sales growth in food industry sector • Integrating comprehensive understanding of food technology, sales management, logistics • Cross-functional team leadership including government relations, partnerships, operations, marketing • Identifying sales opportunities • Cultivating strategic partnerships with food producers Professional Requirements: • Bachelor/Master's Degree in Food Technology (non-negotiable) • Minimum 5 years food industry experience (production/sales) • Technological problem-solving capabilities • Exceptional communication and analytical skills • Organizational excellence • Employee motivation capabilities • Negotiation proficiency • Positive mindset • Fluent English communication • Travel readiness • Business strategic understanding • Advanced computer literacy Technical Sales Manager Responsibilities: • Market and supplier product range analysis • Establishing strong producer relationships • Developing targeted sales strategies • Customer needs assessment • Creating customized value propositions • Ingredient application consultation • Recipe development • Production trial participation • Pricing and project management • Compliance verification • Supplier product strategy alignment Country Manager Responsibilities: • Maintaining supplier relationships • Operational process management • Financial oversight • Employee coaching • Profit generation Compensation Package: • International team environment • Collaboration with market-leading suppliers • Regular professional development • Competitive compensation including salary, vehicle allowance, business resources
