An overview of this role: As a New Business Account Executive in India, you'll drive GitLab's growth strategy by exclusively focusing on acquiring new customers and expanding market presence. You'll engage sophisticated buyers in high-growth companies, navigating complex sales cycles while maintaining rapid pipeline development and deal progression. Your role involves connecting prospective customer stakeholders with GitLab's field organization, establishing trust from initial interactions through deal closure. You'll build a greenfield territory in India, establishing repeatable sales processes and consistently reporting on deal progress and pipeline health. What you'll do: - Manage complete new logo acquisition cycle for India territory - Generate 3-4x pipeline coverage through high-volume prospecting - Execute disciplined daily prospecting across multiple communication channels - Conduct 3-5 high-quality discovery meetings with senior stakeholders daily - Navigate multi-stakeholder sales processes with executive-level decision-makers - Develop strategic territory plans for targeted account acquisition - Collaborate with Solutions Architecture and Customer Success teams - Master sales methodologies to qualify opportunities and drive revenue - Maintain exceptional CRM documentation and accurate forecasting - Exceed quarterly and annual new logo acquisition quotas What you'll bring: - 3-5 years B2B SaaS sales experience, including new business development - Proven track record in closing new logos and managing full-cycle deals - Experience with consumption-based business models - Strong consultative selling capabilities - Ability to manage complex, simultaneous opportunities - Results-driven work ethic with high activity levels - Excellent communication and storytelling skills - Proficiency with contemporary sales technologies and methodologies About the team: The New Business Sales team supports customer adoption of GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform.
