What You'll Do
Monitor patients continuously during cEEG recordings, either in person or through remote video systems, to ensure their safety. Recognize and respond to clinical events such as seizures and other sudden neurological changes. Operate monitoring equipment and camera controls with accuracy and familiarity. Notify nursing or neurodiagnostic staff immediately when critical events occur.
Communicate with patients and bedside personnel when necessary to gather event details. Record observations as needed. Support Neurodiagnostic Technologists with routine tasks such as restocking supplies, removing electrodes, and completing assigned duties. Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by supervising staff.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates will receive in-house training, including 20 hours of clinical observation, and must complete the LTM 100 didactic course. Demonstrated competency in identifying clinical seizures and other paroxysmal events is required, along with proficiency in ictal testing procedures. Candidates must also show understanding of seizure first aid and methods to prevent patient falls.
