As a Surgical Sales Associate, you will lead the promotion and adoption of cutting-edge visualization and diagnostic systems within a defined UK region. Your focus will be on expanding market presence through direct engagement with healthcare providers, delivering live equipment demonstrations in operating rooms and clinics, and providing training to support effective use.
What You'll Do
You’ll act as the primary specialist for digital visualization, microscopy, and diagnostic solutions, guiding customers from initial interest through implementation. Partner with regional sales leaders to identify new opportunities, generate leads, and align with account strategies in Salesforce. Your efforts will directly influence equipment adoption and drive sustained pull-through of associated consumables and intraocular lenses.
Take ownership of your territory by proactively managing customer relationships, identifying upgrade pathways, and uncovering synergies with cataract and vitreoretinal equipment portfolios. Success depends on consistent field engagement, technical communication, and strategic follow-through.
Requirements
You bring a strong foundation in life sciences—either as a recent BSc graduate or newly qualified optometrist—and possess the drive to thrive in a field-based commercial role. You work effectively in matrixed environments, collaborate across teams, and contribute to shared goals by sharing insights and generating high-quality leads.
Success requires self-direction, curiosity, and the ability to manage your territory as an independent business. Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills are essential, along with a proactive, hunter mentality and a commitment to continuous learning.
