Dexterra Group is hiring a National Operations Support for the Outland Youth Employment Program (OYEP). In this hands-on role, you will travel extensively to OYEP sites during the summer program season to provide direct field support. From September to May, you will focus on program improvements, administrative tasks, and outreach to ensure the program's long-term success.
What You'll Do
- Support the safe and effective delivery of OYEP operations across multiple sites.
- Act as the senior field-based operational lead at OYEP sites during the summer.
- Assist with pre-season, in-season, and post-season operations planning and continuous improvement.
- Support Regional Operations Managers with program planning activities.
- Engage in outreach and advocacy efforts where requested.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts and implement company policies.
- Act as a safety leader, reinforcing a strong safety culture across all sites.
- Support field teams in meeting safety policies and reporting requirements.
- Model safe work behaviors and ensure safety expectations are upheld.
- Support seasonal staff and youth hiring, onboarding, and community engagement.
- Work with administration to ensure participant contracts and documentation are complete.
- Provide guidance to Field Supervisors overseeing day-to-day site operations.
- Support the development of relationships with communities, Indigenous partners, and other organizations.
- Assist with partner coordination for curriculum development and training.
- Participate in community engagement and stakeholder meetings.
- Become familiar with internal financial processes and budgets.
- Support tracking of program deliverables tied to funding and reporting.
- Assist with reporting requests and data collection.
- Support pre-season cooperative education processes and post-season credit granting.
- Maintain communication and tracking related to current and former OYEP participants.
- Assist with OYEP social media account content and engagement.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Post-secondary education in a related field such as Education, Social Sciences, Outdoor Recreation, Indigenous Relations, or Project Management.
- Experience in operations, field-based programs, or supporting distributed teams.
- Experience coordinating staff, schedules, and logistics in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with large vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to safety.
- Ability to complete a Vulnerable Sectors Check.
- Full driver's license and clean driving record.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to handle physical demands: lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work outdoors in varying weather, and perform tasks requiring extended standing, walking, or repetitive hand work.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: CAD 60,000 - CAD 80,000 per year.
