Role OverviewAs a Clinical Specialist in Vessel Closure, you will serve as a clinical and technical resource for vascular products within hospital environments. Your primary focus will be supporting interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and care teams through real-time case assistance, education, and training on vessel closure technologies. This position operates in a field-based model with a significant portion of time spent in clinical settings across a designated territory, potentially extending to regional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level clinical and technical support during procedures in Cardiac Cath Labs, Interventional Radiology suites, and Operating Rooms
- Train and educate physicians and hospital staff on the proper use, benefits, and advancements of vessel closure devices, including small and large bore arterial and venous systems
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess clinical challenges and align product solutions with patient care goals
- Conduct in-service training sessions, product demonstrations, and educational presentations using various instructional formats
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and clinical teams across multiple departments
- Stay current on emerging therapies, product developments, and industry trends to inform customer discussions
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns with practical, timely solutions in coordination with cross-functional teams
- Support sales, marketing, and product development teams by sharing frontline clinical insights
- Travel regularly within the assigned region to ensure consistent field presence and customer engagement
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, along with 2–5 years of relevant clinical or technical experience in a healthcare setting. Prior exposure to patient-facing roles in lab or surgical environments is preferred. Certification in a related technical field is considered an asset. Candidates must be able to travel up to 50% of the time within their region.
Technology Expertise
You will gain proficiency in a broad range of vascular technologies, including arterial and venous closure systems, drug-eluting stents, guide wires, balloon catheters, imaging devices, peripheral stents, thrombectomy and atherectomy tools, and associated vascular imaging software platforms.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid, field-based role requiring regular travel (approximately 50%) within the Winston Salem region and surrounding areas. You will work on-site in hospitals and clinical facilities, supporting procedures and delivering education where care is delivered.
