As a Senior Business Development Manager in Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in scaling the Rent Protection offering by deepening relationships with Major Account partners and enhancing the capabilities of the agent network. Your focus will be on integrating the product more effectively into client operations, driving adoption, and increasing policy volume through strategic engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with enterprise clients to optimize the use of Rent Protection within their business models and identify expansion opportunities
- Train and mentor agents to improve customer engagement and grow the overall insurance portfolio
- Support junior team members by sharing insights and guiding professional development
- Engage regularly with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, in high-impact sales discussions
- Collaborate across insurance, compliance, and account management teams to refine strategies and uncover new pathways for growth
- Track performance using sales outcomes, customer satisfaction metrics, and adherence to regulatory standards
What You Bring
- Proven track record in B2B sales, with experience in up-selling and cross-selling complex solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly through virtual and in-person interactions
- A self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset that thrives in fast-moving, independent environments
- Willingness to work within Financial Conduct Authority guidelines and complete a background check via Experian
Work Environment & Benefits
This role operates in a hybrid model, with 1–2 days per week based in the Lincoln office and the remainder remote. Regular travel to client sites and other offices, including London and Sheffield, is required and fully supported.
- Competitive base salary with commission; first-year on-target earnings estimated at £60,000
