Novo Nordisk is looking for a National Market Access Manager to lead market access and value activities for our Rare Disease portfolio in the North UK. In this role, you will be responsible for both pre-launch market entry planning and post-launch market access management, ensuring our treatments reach patients.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement value-driven access strategies, develop tools and services that address NHS needs, and secure formulary and pathway adoption to improve patient outcomes.
- Develop and deliver market access campaigns, tools and services to ensure timely and successful market entry and pull-through for the Rare Disease portfolio.
- Lead Advanced Budget Notification and pathway development for new rare disease products.
- Manage local formulary positioning, guideline development and implementation of local contracts and population health solutions.
- Create and execute strategic partnerships and projects that support NHS service delivery and address health inequalities.
- Deliver strategic account management at system/ICS level and lead payer advocacy and advisory boards.
- Collaborate with marketing, medical, HEOR, pricing, Legal & Compliance, and field teams to develop compliant materials and implement local access solutions.
- Maintain and update customer databases and manage Promomats processes to ensure timely availability and certification of materials.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of access strategies and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree level or equivalent (preferably Social/Health Sciences, Business or related).
- Ability to ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Deep understanding of NHS commissioning, reimbursement systems and ICB-level strategy translation.
- Experience of pre-launch planning and market entry for complex products (rare diseases preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and facilitation skills.
- High commercial acumen, problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the UK and Europe as required.
Nice to Have
- Relevant Health Economics or marketing qualification.
Team & Environment
You will join the Rare Disease Business Unit and work cross-functionally across commercial, medical, HEOR and evidence generation teams.
