About the Role

Daikin Applied Americas Inc is hiring a National Accounts Manager to manage and drive incremental business within the Data Centers vertical market. You will aggressively pursue new national and global business for commercial HVAC systems, developing long-term relationships to leverage sales opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate the data center market to determine applicable HVAC business opportunities.
  • Support and help drive solutions, offerings, and programs to support vertical market growth.
  • Work with Company Sales offices and Rep organizations to focus efforts on increasing sales with national accounts customers.
  • Actively manage pipeline in salesforce and participate in scheduled pipeline reviews with the vertical market team.
  • Identify and qualify potential new National Accounts using established criteria, making business case recommendations to pursue or abandon.
  • Utilize the National Accounts Authorized REP program, including regular reviews and adherence to expectations.
  • Support the organization, broader teams, and business development groups in training, mentoring, and coaching the field.
  • Identify, participate, and drive the Daikin brand at key marketing events such as trade shows and networking events.
  • Interface with leaders of major accounts to provide high-level support and generate strategic initiatives for sales growth.
  • Monitor competition's strategy to ensure company initiatives remain competitive.
  • Interface with Director of National Accounts, Divisional Vice Presidents, and Regional General Managers to establish strategic focus for growth.
  • Coordinate and manage all activity related to major global/national accounts business.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical, Scientific, or Engineering field.
  • 5+ years of related experience in HVAC sales.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and analytical skills.

Nice to Have

  • Data Center experience.
  • Knowledge of the HVAC Wholesale Distribution industry (value props, competitors, customers).
  • Knowledge of the HVAC Servicing contractor industry.

Team & Environment

You will work with Company Sales offices and the Rep organizations, motivating, leading, and influencing REP’s and SSR’s. You will report indirectly to and interface with the Director of National Accounts, Divisional Vice Presidents, and Regional General Managers.

  • Compensation range: $100,800 - $166,700.
