Paramount is looking for a MultiMedia Journalist Reporter to join the CBS News Philadelphia early morning on-air team. You will be responsible for creating impactful news content across all platforms, with a strong emphasis on live reporting and creative storytelling.
What You'll Do
- Shoot, write, edit, and report news stories for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.
- Turn content, front multiple live shots, and write copy for the station website.
- Use all social media platforms to promote your assignments.
- Effectively communicate from the field for story composition and live reporting.
- Multi-task effectively while meeting strict deadlines.
- Exercise excellent news judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with a team of managers across two stations.
- React quickly and professionally to breaking news situations.
- Conduct skilled interviews and create compelling, original stories.
- Generate your own compelling story ideas that provide a viewer benefit.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of reporting experience in a commercial broadcast setting, including regular live reporting.
- Knowledge of social media and how to use it to promote content to broadcast, streaming, and the web.
- Experience writing for the web.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, early mornings, holidays, and weekends.
- SAG-AFTRA union membership is required.
Nice to Have
- College Degree.
- Daily live reporting experience.
- Knowledge of iNews rundown systems and Avid Media Composer editing.
- Experience with emerging media techniques and equipment in a newsroom setting.
