dbt Labs is hiring its first marketing professional in Japan. As the Marketing Manager, Japan, you will lead marketing funnel performance for the entire Japan market, serving as a core part of our Go-to-Market strategy to accelerate rapid adoption. You will work directly with the APJ team, bringing a strategic perspective while also executing as needed.
What You'll Do
- Develop comprehensive marketing plans and budgets for the Japan market, driving pipeline growth through multi-channel campaigns, events, and partnerships.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns specifically tailored for the Japanese market.
- Identify and execute the localization of global marketing initiatives for Japan.
- Recommend regional events for sponsorship, develop strategies for hosted/co-hosted events, and advise on Japan-specific content marketing and digital advertising initiatives.
- Collaborate with Japan sales, alliances, and customer success teams to achieve goals for awareness, lead generation, deal acceleration, and customer retention/expansion.
- Own and drive marketing funnel performance metrics for Japan, including understanding and analyzing them.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of B2B marketing experience in Japan, preferably in software or SaaS/subscription models.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing integrated marketing channel programs and adapting global initiatives for local markets.
- Experience owning pipeline or revenue targets and ability to discuss results and challenges.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach, capable of iterative program launch and improvement.
- Ability to independently use dashboard tools like Tableau and Salesforce.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills, able to convey strategy simply and clearly and build trust within the organization.
- Experience in enterprise and commercial markets (industry-specific marketing experience a plus).
- English communication skills (reading, writing, conversation) are desirable.
