Royal Steensma, part of the 100+ year family-owned business Dawn Foods, is looking for a Market Sales Representative II to develop deep customer relationships and deliver profitable sales activity within a defined territory. This is an outside sales role focused on promoting Dawn's products, services, and bakery solutions through consultative partnerships and strategic growth.
What You'll Do
- Build a portfolio of customers to exceed sales and margin targets.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with baking industry customers across your assigned territory.
- Provide on-site consultation and sales expertise to achieve profitable sales growth.
- Prospect new customers, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business.
- Calculate margins, negotiate terms, and prepare estimates and bids using Dawn's pricing models.
- Represent, explain, and promote the entire Dawn value proposition.
- Promote and demonstrate Dawn's online ordering platform and payment portal.
- Document sales funnel activities and utilize the enterprise CRM (Salesforce).
- Educate customers on the usage of our payment portal and customer-facing technology.
- Explain and implement Dawn's credit policies and terms with customers.
- Monitor regional market conditions, product trends, and competitor activity.
- Maintain a collaborative approach across teams and functions.
- Perform associated administrative duties, such as maintaining accurate sales records, preparing reports, and filing expense reports.
- Participate in experiential learning opportunities to expand sales capabilities and product knowledge.

You will report directly to a Market Sales Manager (MSM) and manage a territory directly associated with a distribution center and a greater commercial region.
