Motorola Solutions is hiring a Market Development Executive (MDE), United States Army. In this role, you will serve as Silvus Technologies’ senior market-shaping leader for the U.S. Army enterprise, influencing capability requirements and building strategic relationships at senior levels. You will orchestrate the long-term growth strategy across Army modernization programs to shape demand and cultivate advocacy for Silvus technologies.
What You'll Do
- Leverage an established senior-level network within the U.S. Army to shape requirements and sponsor Silvus Technologies across modernization programs.
- Drive early visibility for Silvus in emerging Program of Record and OTA opportunities.
- Position Silvus within Army concepts such as JADC2, Unified Network, and Transformation in Contact.
- Serve as the senior 'market anchor' for the U.S. Army, coordinating a team-based pursuit model across Business Development, DoD Account Sales, and OEM/Prime Sales.
- Align internal stakeholders to deliver unified messaging and pursuit strategy for priority programs.
- Partner with Motorola Solutions and MSI Government Affairs to synchronize advocacy and policy outreach.
- Provide continuous market insight on Army network modernization, tactical communications, and EW/spectrum management.
- Identify and cultivate emerging opportunities for long-term revenue growth.
- Represent Silvus at senior Army, DoD, and industry forums to promote thought leadership.
- Develop and execute the U.S. Army Market Development Plan.
- Contribute to pipeline growth by ensuring multi-year program opportunities are identified and matured.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense industry.
- Extensive prior U.S. Army service (e.g., former General Officer) OR extensive experience as a senior civilian (GS-15/SES equivalent) or defense industry executive.
- Pre-existing, established, and verifiable network of contacts at senior levels within the U.S. Army.
- Deep branch-domain knowledge of U.S. Army tactical network mission, structure, and procurement processes.
- Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic planning and 'big picture' thinking.
- Ability to operate with a high-level of autonomy and build trust as a credible advisor.
- Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Track record of successfully shaping requirements for major DoD programs.
- Experience with C5ISR, tactical communications, unmanned systems, or spectrum/EW applications.
Team & Environment
You will report to the Vice President of Strategic Growth on the Sales team and coordinate a team-based pursuit model across Business Development, DoD Account Sales, and OEM/Prime Sales.
