OG&E is hiring a Manager of SEC Reporting to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our critical financial filings. You will be responsible for the development and management of SEC filings, ensuring disclosures meet SEC, FASB, and FERC requirements. This role contributes to technical accounting research and establishes practices for reliable business data.
What You'll Do
- Manage the preparation and timely filing of SEC documents (10-Ks, 10-Qs, Proxies, 8-Ks), coordinating review cycles with stakeholders.
- Contribute to accounting research, memo writing, and reporting compliance issues relating to FASB and SEC guidance.
- Lead the group in processing and compliance reporting for FERC filings (annual Form 1, quarterly 3Qs).
- Manage or coordinate XBRL tagging and publishing using SEC reporting tools (e.g., Active Disclosure).
- Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP and SEC requirements and prepare/maintain all supporting documentation.
- Coordinate and facilitate the process of documenting accounting policies and procedures for SEC and FERC.
- Lead the preparation of the Company’s employee benefit plan financial statements, reports, and records.
- Provide technical guidance and act as a Coach/Mentor to financial functional areas and compliance.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and monitored and that all financial processes are performed timely and accurately.
- Assure processing and reporting formats meet statutory requirements (GAAP, SEC, FERC).
- Evaluate and improve internal accounting and reporting processes.
- Develop and present information and progress to the leadership of the organization.
- Recommend and implement actions for compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or degree with 30 hours of Accounting
- 8 years of directly related accounting experience
Nice to Have
- At least 3 years of SEC or Public Accounting experience
- CPA certification
