Company is looking for a Manager, Consumer Engineering Lab to lead product quality validation, lab operations, and ensure testing meets global standards. You will drive performance reporting, develop testing procedures, and manage a team focused on continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Drive reporting of product performance with test results to enhance product quality in the innovation, development, and mass production phases.
- Define and standardize testing procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Develop new testing methodologies to replicate failure items from the market.
- Control failure analysis to find root cause and lead corrective actions with product development and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure on-time delivery of testing results.
- Improve capability and capacity of testing laboratories.
- Execute and follow compliance for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and ISO/IEC 17025 to meet worldwide standards.
- Prepare and present inspection quality results and quality issues to C&SQ and key stakeholders for risk assessment, red flag identification, and lessons learned.
- Gather feedback from pre-production and plant quality teams for continuous improvement.
- Ensure testing methods and criteria can detect consumer failure modes.
- Coordinate with concerned teams to communicate testing results and criteria clearly to support RMA/RCI activities.
- Ensure lab testing costs align with budgets.
- Support direct reports in developing knowledge, skills, and abilities for performance improvement and career development.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in material and consumer product testing.
- Major role and responsibility for product quality validation and lab services.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a manufacturing or testing laboratory environment.
- Management-level experience, preferably within the jewellery industry.
