SecureSpace Management is hiring a Local SEO Manager to spearhead organic traffic growth and boost local search rankings for our multi-location self-storage portfolio. This strategic, hands-on role combines deep technical SEO expertise with data-driven decision-making to enhance online visibility and drive qualified leads.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain a strategic content plan for blogs and website pages incorporating E-E-A-T principles.
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research and develop targeted content strategies aligned with marketing goals.
- Perform regular on-page and technical SEO audits and implement recommended fixes.
- Lead local and national link-building and outreach campaigns.
- Conduct internal linking opportunity analysis and internal backlink audits.
- Measure and report year-over-year improvements in local and organic search rankings monthly.
- Design and implement A/B tests to optimize SEO performance and conversion rates.
- Audit SEO data and tools regularly to ensure accurate reporting and tracking.
- Verify data integrity across all measurement platforms and identify/resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct competitive SEO research and gap analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Leverage AI tools to scale content development and SEO initiatives.
- Prioritize SEO initiatives based on potential impact and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Own and optimize the website blog, landing pages, and Google Business Profiles across all locations.
- Collaborate closely with the paid media team to align SEO and paid search strategies.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and optimization of all content, images, internal linking, and business information.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, content, and web development teams.
- Stay current with local and organic SEO industry updates and algorithm changes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of hands-on SEO experience.
- Experience working with paid media teams to align SEO and paid strategies.
- Demonstrated experience creating and executing content strategies that establish industry authority.
- Experience with local SEO strategies for multi-location businesses.
- Advanced knowledge of technical SEO (site structure, schema, sitemaps, site speed optimization).
- Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Business Profile insights, Advanced Web Rankings, Local Falcon, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GA4, and Bing Webmaster Tools.
- Experience managing multiple Google Business Profiles and optimizing landing pages for conversion.
- Experience in data validation and troubleshooting analytics implementation issues.
- Strong data-driven analytical mindset with Excel and spreadsheet formula proficiency.
- Experience with scaling content development via AI.
- AI content development and AI Prompt Engineering skills.
- Knowledge of AI-powered search and its implications for SEO.
- Ability to explain technical SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment.
