Role Overview
As an Account Executive in Commercial Sales, you will lead net new revenue initiatives by partnering with medium enterprise prospects to implement cloud-based enterprise management solutions. Your focus will be on identifying strategic opportunities, guiding clients through the sales cycle, and building lasting relationships that deliver sustained value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory strategies to prioritize and close high-impact sales opportunities
- Lead account planning efforts, aligning with pre-sales and internal teams to ensure cohesive go-to-market approaches
- Engage with prospects to communicate the value of enterprise cloud solutions and support adoption
- Keep customer and pipeline data current, accurate, and reflective of forecast expectations
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years selling SaaS or cloud-based ERP, HCM, financial, planning, or analytics platforms to C-level executives in a field sales capacity
- At least two years of experience negotiating complex deals with senior leadership teams
- Demonstrated success in identifying and advancing leads through structured outreach
- Proven ability in fast-moving sales environments, including self-driven prospecting
- Familiarity with competitive dynamics in enterprise software and the ability to position solutions effectively
- Strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders to shape account strategies
- Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model, requiring at least 50% of time each quarter on-site in the office or in the field engaging with clients and partners. Schedules are flexible and adapted to business, team, and personal needs.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range for this position is $110,400 – $134,700 USD annually, with additional locations falling within the same range. You may also be eligible for annual stock refresh grants and participation in the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission structure.
