Line Manager, Site Contracts Management
This role leads the Site Contracts team for European operations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of clinical trial agreements and investigator budgets. You will manage end-to-end financial and contractual processes, aligning with regional regulations, sponsor requirements, and internal governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the creation and maintenance of standardized investigator budget templates across global markets, ensuring consistency with legal, financial, and institutional guidelines.
- Guide team members in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts such as clinical study agreements, confidentiality agreements, master contracts, and amendments.
- Manage portfolio-level contract execution in line with study timelines and financial plans, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external obligations.
- Provide direct line management to contract specialists, promoting adherence to best practices in contracting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Coordinate resource allocation for new and ongoing studies, including workload forecasting and staffing planning.
- Resolve escalated issues in collaboration with Legal, Finance, Grants, and senior stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics including cycle times, cost efficiency, and productivity at the unit and portfolio levels.
- Ensure data integrity within contract and budget management systems, overseeing accurate documentation and archival.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in budget development, reporting, and grant alignment.
- Contribute to strategic discussions on global operating models and future resourcing needs for contracting and budget functions.
- Act as a subject matter expert in client and internal meetings related to site contracting, budget strategy, and grant processes.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, healthcare, or a scientific field is required. Prior experience in site contracts and investigator budget management within a clinical research organization is essential. Demonstrated ability in remote team leadership, financial oversight, and global budget standardization is expected. Preferred candidates will have at least five years of experience managing the full lifecycle of clinical trial agreements and financial deliverables across diverse global models.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office, contract databases, budgeting tools, and reporting platforms is necessary. Experience with unit-level financial reporting and cross-functional data integration is advantageous.
Work Environment
This position supports remote work and is open to candidates based in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, or Serbia. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
