CQ fluency is hiring a Project Manager (Evenings & Weekends, EST)

About the Role

Oversee the full lifecycle of translation projects, guiding them from initial request to final delivery. You'll collaborate with linguists, editors, designers, and technical specialists to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client specifications. Your role is central to maintaining smooth operations across diverse teams and time-sensitive deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review incoming project briefs and identify requirements such as glossaries, prior translations, acronyms, and technical references
  • Design and implement efficient workflows using translation memory systems, style guides, and terminology databases
  • Prepare files for localization, analyze content volume, and generate cost projections and timelines
  • Negotiate terms with external partners and monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
  • Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining clear communication and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records in project management and translation databases
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients through responsive, professional service
  • Proactively identify potential issues and keep leadership informed

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in the language services industry with hands-on use of CAT tools and translation memory software
  • Strong ability to create and revise cost estimates and quotes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • High level of organization, accountability, and professionalism
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving setting
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving initiative and a collaborative mindset
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and web-based applications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

Preferred

  • Fluency in a second language

Work Schedule

This role operates on-site within the EST timezone, with core working hours from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday. The schedule follows a Friday-through-Tuesday pattern to support global project timelines.
