About the Role

Cambridge Healthcare Research (CHR) is hiring a Life Sciences Senior Research Analyst to join our team remotely from the UK. You will be a key member of a project team providing industry, market, and product-level research to our consulting colleagues, serving US-based clients by working hours from 14:30 to 23:00 GMT/BST.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct high-quality desk-based secondary research, monitoring news, social media, and specialist databases.
  • Summarize, analyze, and explain research findings instantly and directly to clients.
  • Gather and analyze research to prepare time-sensitive notifications on relevant developments within a therapeutic area.
  • Contribute to developing PowerPoint reports for clients covering key findings.
  • Support primary research by establishing baseline knowledge to develop research guides.
  • Create or propose robust research plans with key milestones and deliverables.
  • Support consulting activities at in-person conferences through pre- and post-conference materials.
  • Support business development by researching and developing analyses for new client proposals.
  • Attend internal meetings and external meetings with US-based clients to discuss project progress and findings.
  • Peer review work and coach and support junior colleagues.
  • Use expert knowledge to recommend better data sources and enhance research quality.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in life sciences.
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role conducting scientific research and insight generation.
  • Secondary research skills to identify appropriate data sources and information.
  • Analytical skills to convert gathered research into key outputs.
  • Critical thinking and appropriate judgment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A growth mindset and openness to constructive feedback.
  • Proactivity and initiative.
  • Motivation to develop specialist expertise (e.g., therapeutic areas, data sources).
  • Ability to work independently both remotely and outside of colleagues’ normal working hours.
  • IT skills across the Microsoft suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and databases.
  • Planning, organizing and prioritisation skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills to support junior colleagues.

Team & Environment

You will join CHR, a company of over 130 staff, and be affiliated with the Research Centre of Excellence based in Birmingham, UK. This role sits within Solici, the strategic competitive intelligence division of CHR.

Compensation: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This is a fully remote position, with the successful candidate based in the UK.
