The Account Manager will establish robust relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and expand the Mid-Atlantic territory revenue of the Standards business, concentrating primarily on Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines. What you'll do: • Manage assigned Commercial accounts and Strategic site-level locations, representing the entire LGC Standards portfolio across all end-markets (Pharma, Biotech, Environmental, etc.) to develop and maintain account relationships • Detect and close new opportunities through self-generated leads or marketing-qualified leads • Engage additional LGC Standard's team members and resources as needed to optimize customer service and experience • Collaborate with Sr. Director, Strategic & Commercial Accounts, for planning and customer reviews at specific strategic account sites • Utilize LGC's sales tools to manage prospects, accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and sales forecasts accurately and promptly • Develop comprehensive understanding of key LGC products and their applications • Achieve and surpass assigned sales targets for LGC Standards • Proactively interact with customers through various communication channels to qualify leads, convert prospects, follow-up on quotations, and drive sales while maintaining updated CRM information • Enhance LGC Standards brand awareness by organizing and participating in exhibitions, seminars, and industry events The compensation package includes base salary and variable pay, with actual base salary determined by factors such as experience, skills, and sales geography location. Qualifications: • B.S. in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or equivalent • 5+ years' experience selling technical research laboratory products, with preference for successful key account management in central procurement • Ability to interpret documents like RFQs, contracts, operating manuals, and procedure instructions • Experience with CRM platforms like Sales Force and Desk, with Microsoft Office proficiency preferred • Exceptional commercial awareness and planning capabilities • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets • English fluency, with additional language skills advantageous • Willingness to travel up to 40% within designated territory Additional Information: What We Can Offer You: LGC recognizes benefits as crucial resources in employees' well-being journeys.
