Cardinal Group is looking for a Leasing Community Intern to support our community operations and deliver high-quality service to our residents. This role is essential for achieving 100% occupancy through resident retention, leasing current availability, and pre-leasing future units. You will be a key team player, embodying the Cardinal Culture and Core Values.
What You'll Do
- Be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Perform administrative front desk tasks and warmly greet prospective clients.
- Answer incoming leasing calls, determine needs, and professionally present the community and apartment homes.
- Utilize feature/benefit selling techniques to close the sale and complete follow-up.
- Complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Pass third-party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) certified.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with team members, residents, prospects, and vendors.
- Participate in and assist with planning community events and various additional community projects.
- Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
- Handle “On-call” responsibilities, such as lock-outs and nightly rounds.
- Work evenings and weekends.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
- Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled accredited college or university.
- Must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.
- Must live on a designated community floor, per community guidelines, as assigned.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week.
- Available evenings and weekends.
- Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal’s Core Values every day.
Nice to Have
- Assistant or Administrative Assistant experience.
- Receptionist or Leasing Consultant experience.
- Real Estate Assistant or Leasing experience.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Community Manager and work as part of the onsite community team.
Work Mode
This role is fully onsite at the designated community.
