We are seeking a Leader, Underground Mine Technician to join our team at the Meadowbank Complex. Reporting to the Underground Engineering Supervisor, you will be the primary supervisor of the Underground Mine Technician Team within the Engineering department. You will lead the team to prioritize, delegate, and execute tasks requested by various stakeholders across the mine, acting as a mentor and ensuring high-quality service.
What You'll Do
- Promote Health and Safety to the survey team by hosting meetings, conducting field visits, performing work card control, redacting procedures, and developing incident prevention initiatives.
- Provide coaching to the team through technical and soft skill training.
- Attend daily morning meetings to receive daily mine production survey requirements.
- Ensure adequate allocation of workforce and proper upkeep of the team work schedule.
- Ensure the working order of all team-related equipment and order equipment and supplies as required.
- Execute daily tasks supporting engineering and operations, such as surveying and mine layout creation/updates.
- Be responsible for the monthly or bi-monthly survey advance update for End-of-Month (EOM) purposes.
- Develop and maintain a high degree of precision and professionalism.
What We're Looking For
- College degree in Mine Engineering/Technology or higher.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in underground mining.
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and mine design software (experience with Deswik is an asset).
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
- Strong ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

You will lead the Underground Mine Technician Team within the Engineering department and report directly to the Underground Engineering Supervisor.
