Role Overview
This position focuses on handling high-severity property claims resulting from fire and water damage. You'll conduct in-person inspections at customer homes across the Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC region, while also managing claims remotely from anywhere in the country using digital tools and video collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit customer properties to assess damage and document conditions
- Analyze insurance policies to determine applicable coverage
- Generate precise repair estimates using Xactimate and other estimating systems
- Resolve claims efficiently through fair negotiation with homeowners, contractors, and third parties
- Support customers through virtual claims processes using secure video and digital communication tools
- Maintain clear, accurate records within the claims management system
- Use phone, email, and video chat to keep customers informed and offer communication options that suit their needs
- Apply critical thinking to complex situations and deliver solutions that align with policy terms
- Act with empathy and integrity, supporting a claims culture centered on care and restoration
Qualifications
Candidates must be able to travel locally using their personal vehicle until eligible for a company car. You should have experience evaluating property damage, particularly from large-scale incidents, and be comfortable interpreting policy language. Proficiency with Xactimate is required. You must also be able to obtain any necessary adjuster or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, if applicable.
Preferred applicants hold active licenses such as a Home Resident Property & Casualty license or a Designated Home State license in Florida or Texas.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a salary range of $72,000 to $117,700 annually. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates who hold applicable active licenses. Mileage is reimbursed when using a personal vehicle for work, and company car eligibility may be available based on annual travel volume.

Work Environment
The position is based locally in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem area, with flexibility in scheduling.
