Corewell Health is hiring a Lab Path Assistant (Part Time) to be responsible for the intake of all inpatient and outpatient specimens in the pre-analytical area of the Core Regional Laboratory. This role will transition to employment with Quest Diagnostics effective January 1, 2026.

What You'll Do

Maintains accurate specimen stability at all times.
Receives all specimens to maintain tracking of each specimen.
Utilizes a centrifuge to separate blood/urine samples and pour over into correct container type for processing.
Delivers specimens to the correct testing area.
Assists in loading specimens onto analyzers for testing.
Provides exceptional experience to all customers via inbound and outbound phone calls, chats, and emails.
Ensures services are provided in accordance with state and federal regulation, accreditation and compliance requirements, and organizational policy.

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

Graduate of a Phlebotomy training program (based on specific entity/department)
Associate's Degree in a Healthcare related field
1 year of relevant experience dealing with the public, preferably in the medical or customer service field
