Gilead Sciences, Inc. is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This role demonstrates a breadth of finance skills, from transactional process control to financial analytics and controllership. Acting as a business partner within a matrix structure, you will support local commercial teams and other functional unit heads while ensuring the integrity of financial operations.
What You'll Do
- Manage all revenue deduction transactions, including commissions, price differences, and penalties.
- Control the entire PO process, invoicing, accruals, and month-end closing.
- Manage reporting requirements for statutory and corporate compliance, such as VAT/WHT and cash flow forecasts.
- Support the trade operation team on controlling the OTC process for Saudi Arabia.
- Follow up on AR collection monthly with the Saudi distributor and control the credit limit process.
- Perform monthly trial balance reconciliation and other necessary reconciliations.
- Be a key contributor during the preparation for R3 (SAP implementation in Saudi Arabia).
- Own accounting processes supporting balance sheet accruals, provisions, allocations, reclassifications, and other transactions.
- Act as local lead to ensure the integrity of the affiliate’s financial control framework and serve as the point person for auditors.
- Lead month and quarter-end close activities, interacting with Regional Controllership and Shared Services.
- Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reporting.
- Oversee processes to ensure all Tax submissions are timely and accurate.
- Ensure finance policies, tax, and legal requirements are followed.
- Drive development and implementation of key process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Play a significant role in supporting the finance head in the LE process for Saudi Arabia (Revenue, pricing, PVM, Personnel cost, internal cost and external OpEX).
- Prepare LE Slides for Saudi Arabia.
- Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive performance management.
- Maintain a monthly tracker for all OpEX showing YTD and remaining YTG spend.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of relevant experience within the pharma industry.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in a comparable organization, with responsibility for processes such as financial reporting, tax, AR/Credit, cash flow management, and A/P.
- Strong knowledge of integrated Enterprise systems, ideally SAP, and proficiency with Microsoft tools.
- Demonstrated technical, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and interact successfully with non-financial personnel.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with key business stakeholders and work cross functionally.
Nice to Have
- CPA or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable.
- Experience in a comparable multi-national organization, with biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience partnering with the business within an FP&A role.
- Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
