Role Overview
This is a contract position for a Kofax/KTM Admin/Developer supporting enterprise document and imaging systems. The role begins with two weeks of onsite work in either Winston Salem or Charlotte, NC, followed by fully remote engagement. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of Kofax applications within a large-scale ECM/BPM infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical implementation for installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise content and business process management platforms
- Provide daily administrative support for Kofax solutions including Kofax Capture, KTM, KCNS, and KCS
- Manage system tuning, capacity planning, and performance optimization across application environments
- Support software upgrades, patches, and new releases through testing and deployment phases
- Monitor system performance and implement adjustments to maintain efficiency and reliability
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for configurations, processes, and issue resolution
- Diagnose and resolve system issues by collaborating with developers, vendors, and infrastructure teams
- Communicate technical findings and project updates clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support off-hours maintenance and critical incidents
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years supporting enterprise applications, with a focus on Kofax Capture technologies
- 5+ years of experience operating in Windows environments
- 3+ years working with Oracle or SQL Server databases
- 3+ years installing, configuring, and supporting document scanning stations
- Proven experience in performance tuning and capacity planning for mission-critical systems
- Familiarity with firewalls, networking, mass storage, and multi-system environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt priorities as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on timely resolution and system uptime
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Willingness to provide after-hours support for planned changes and emergencies
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years in ECM platforms such as FileNet P8 (4.5 or later) or Documentum
- Hands-on experience with Kofax modules: KC, KTM, KCIC, KCS, KCNS, VRS, and KTA
- Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery strategies and implementation
- Kofax Capture certification
- Experience with F5 load balancers
- Knowledge of virtualized hosting environments
