About the Role

Yopeso Romania SRL is hiring a Key Account Manager (Distribution) - Taste to identify client needs and opportunities, learning and assisting in driving sustainable and profitable sales and market share growth. You will build solid customer relationships, support and coordinate sales-related activities to promote relevant solutions for specific regions or clients, and be accountable for assigned commercial results.

What You'll Do

  • Support the development of knowledge of specific markets, customer environments, and specific customer activities, strategies, brands, markets, and consumers.
  • Build relationships with key client decision-makers/influencers through regular meetings.
  • Cultivate an understanding of client decision-making criteria.
  • Accurately document client visits and insights in a timely manner.
  • Communicate client supply chain goals, processes, organization, and scorecards to operational teams.
  • Consult with Customer Service on key account supply issues and agree on communication/implementation plans for more complex issues/solutions with line management support.
  • Propose optimal working capital management (payment term agreements, monthly understanding of AR status with support/intervention as needed) with line management support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to understand client regulatory requirements/changes and regularly inform Global Regulatory Assurance and IC&D.
  • Work with cross-functional and cross-geographical colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Establish meaningful relationships and networks across the organization.
  • Drive personal development to gain the experience and capabilities needed to manage accounts independently.
  • Actively solicit feedback to drive continuous development and personal growth.
  • Identify and prospect for client opportunities and develop client plans for the assigned portfolio.
  • Propose optimal sales channels and related service models for identified leads/customers/opportunities.
  • Successfully execute client plans, providing early warning of any threats to implementation.
  • Understand assigned sales and margin targets.
  • Identify and request required account resources.
  • Define business opportunities in line with Innovation, Creation & Design (IC&D) and service cost guidelines with line manager support.
  • Promote the bank/product portfolio.
  • Provide the team with detailed project insights (client/internal perspective) to clearly define brief parameters and capture them in the project management system.
  • Organize formal business launches, finalize action plans and timelines, and keep all relevant stakeholders updated.
  • Evaluate final submissions with other team members.
  • Generate proposals/pricing aligned with category profit guidelines or pricing authorities, with reporting manager approval.
  • Prepare and coordinate presentation materials with support from line management and/or marketing.
  • Define and deliver submission presentations to maximize commercial advantages and resources.
  • Solicit and communicate client feedback on proposals.
  • Ensure optimal engagement of client network/influencers with line management support.
  • Communicate project outcomes and/or organize internal debriefs.
  • Coordinate win/loss analysis and share project learnings via the project management system with line management support.
  • Regularly update the Sales Forecasting Tool (SFT) to ensure high accuracy and provide timely updates to managers.
  • Monitor account sales performance (monthly/quarterly/annual) and provide project updates to managers.
  • Actively contribute to winning projects.
  • Control expenses according to budget.
  • Implement price increases according to country/regional strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, sales service, product development, customer planning, or marketing.
  • Ability to understand basic financial concepts/processes (pricing/profit/forecasting).
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm, with a strong interest in sales, product development, consumer and market understanding (Marketing/R&D/CI).
  • Basic flavor knowledge and olfactory skills.
  • Strong communication skills with negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Self-driven with a good track record of delivering results.
  • Collaborative spirit and team player mentality.
  • Digitally savvy and able to leverage online resources.
  • Effective business English proficiency.

Nice to Have

  • Preference for experience in the fragrance, cosmetics, FMCG, flavor, chemical, or ingredient industries.
  • Basic understanding of skin science and biology where applicable.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, science, or engineering is preferred.

Team & Environment

You will work under the supervision of assigned accounts and/or support strategic clients/global categories, reporting to a Line Manager.
