SUMMARY The Key Account Director serves as the primary interface between the organization and strategic distribution partners. This role focuses on cultivating robust relationships, driving collaborative growth, and optimizing operational performance. The ideal candidate will champion a mutually beneficial approach—ensuring both the company and distributors achieve synchronized success through aligned objectives, transparent communication, and reciprocal value generation. A critical responsibility involves facilitating seamless cooperation between distributors and internal sales teams to implement high-impact growth strategies, negotiate strategic priorities, and validate investments through comprehensive financial analysis and ROI-driven decision-making. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Distributor Relationship Management - Serve as primary contact for assigned distributors, establishing trust-based relationships prioritizing long-term, mutually advantageous outcomes. - Conduct periodic business evaluations and strategic planning sessions centered on collective success. Growth Strategy & Execution - Collaboratively develop integrated business plans to propel revenue and market expansion. - Synchronize distributor initiatives with internal sales strategies to ensure cohesive implementation. - Facilitate cross-team collaboration to maximize territory coverage, lead conversion, and customer engagement. - Track performance indicators to guarantee target achievement. - Promote shared accountability and recognize joint accomplishments to reinforce partnership-driven culture. Strategic Negotiation & Financial Justification - Negotiate organizational positioning regarding pricing, programs, and strategic initiatives. - Assess and validate distributor-related investments using ROI frameworks and financial analysis. - Present compelling business cases supporting distributor growth and operational enhancements. Operational Excellence - Collaborate with internal departments to streamline distributor operations. - Resolve operational challenges benefiting both parties to improve service quality. - Ensure contractual compliance while maintaining flexibility for distributor success. Market Intelligence & Reporting - Collect and analyze market data, competitive insights, and distributor feedback. - Generate comprehensive reports and recommendations for senior leadership. - Maintain current understanding of industry dynamics and regulatory developments. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred). - 5+ years distributor/channel management experience, preferably corporate environment. - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration driving consistent growth. - Robust understanding of sales strategy, operations, and partner ecosystems. - Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities. - CRM proficiency and data-driven approach.
