A Journeyperson Electrician at Rising Edge Group plays a key role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage electrical systems in substations ranging from 13.8kV to 500kV. Working across various U.S. states, you will ensure safety compliance, support project execution, and mentor apprentices as part of a dedicated field team.
What You'll Do
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of various electrical systems, failing equipment, transformers, circuit breakers, switches, switchgears, and instrument transformers across different voltage levels (500kV to 13.8kV)
- Assist with the installation of structural steel and buried utilities
- Operate construction equipment, including skid steers, mini hoes, manlifts, and zoombooms
- Adhere to and promote Rising Edge Group’s Health and Safety Manual alongside industry safety regulations
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Electrician Apprentices, assisting them in technical issue resolution and safe work practices
- Conduct inspections and testing of high voltage electrical equipment to ensure compliance with maintenance standards and documentation
- Lead the planning and installation of ground grids, power system assemblies, and wiring
- Execute substation equipment maintenance aligned with industry and company standards
- Maintain familiarity with hazards associated with working near energized equipment and ensure safe work practices are prioritized
What We're Looking For
- Must be a Journeyperson Electrician
- Must report directly to the Site Supervisor
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical codes
- Must be able to perform installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on electrical systems from 13.8kV to 500kV
- Must be able to operate construction equipment such as skid steers, mini hoes, manlifts, and zoombooms
- Must adhere to Rising Edge Group’s Health and Safety Manual and industry safety regulations
- Must mentor and provide guidance to Electrician Apprentices
- Must conduct inspections and testing of high voltage electrical equipment
- Must lead planning and installation of ground grids, power system assemblies, and wiring
- Must maintain awareness of hazards when working near energized equipment

Work Mode
Onsite work required in Dallas, Texas (headquarters), Virginia, New Mexico, and other U.S. states where projects are underway. Candidates must be flexible to work in any state where active projects are located.
