Mizkan America is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our team and contribute to key HR initiatives while gaining practical experience. In this role, you will support day-to-day HR tasks and work on a substantive capstone project from research to presentation. What You'll Do
- Own a designated Employer Value Proposition (EVP) capstone project from start to finish, including research, analysis, development, and final presentation to leadership.
- Assist with ongoing HR projects and deliverables under supervision.
- Conduct internal research through employee interviews, focus groups, surveys, and analysis of engagement and exit data.
- Research external labor market trends, competitor EVPs, and employer branding best practices.
- Analyze data and insights to identify key themes, strengths, and opportunities within the employee experience.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations, summaries, and recommendations.
- Assist with ongoing HR projects including onboarding, engagement initiatives, internal communications, and data analysis.
- Gain exposure to multiple HR Centers of Excellence such as Benefits, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, and other specialized functions.
- Support team members with administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and file management.
- Participate in HR team meetings and selected cross-functional meetings to contribute ideas for process improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Provide regular, predictable, in-person attendance on required business days.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Nice to Have
- Preferred fields of study: Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
Technical Stack
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Team & Environment
You will support the Human Resources department and gain exposure to multiple HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), providing a broad view of HR functions and how they contribute to the organization.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in Schaumburg, IL.
