DaVita, which is Italian for 'giving life,' is looking for a Hospital Dialysis Registered Nurse to provide lifesaving nephrology care at our Orlando DPH Hospital. You will deliver empathetic care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease as a central part of a small interdisciplinary team.
What You'll Do
- Deliver care to patients dealing with multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans.
- Oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs to conduct observations, measure stats, and set up machines.
- Provide specialty nephrology care through Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Apheresis.
- Work daily in a hospital setting, delivering dialysis at a contracted healthcare system.
- Provide care in a variety of hospital settings such as ICU, CCU, ED, and more.
- Commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Current Hemodialysis Nursing Experience.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience.
- Reliable mode of transportation.
- Successful completion of the pre-employment color blind test (accommodation may be provided).
- Flexible schedule and ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice to Have
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
