About the Role

Walter USA, LLC is hiring a Field Sales Engineer to increase sales of our products and services in the Houston, Texas territory. You will focus on target customers by providing optimal, value-added solutions and establishing effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Plan sales activities through market analysis to define appropriate customers.
  • Schedule and conduct productive customer visits with a clear purpose and agenda.
  • Engage in active listening to learn customer needs and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to react to customer needs.
  • Negotiate agreements in collaboration with customers and business partners.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to align company products and processes for optimized customer solutions.
  • Promote the complete range of company products and services.
  • Actively sell products and services by providing value-added solutions.
  • Actively seek sales orders from customers upon agreement.
  • Document and report sales activities, test reports, cost savings, and forecasts.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in mechanical engineering or business administration with a technical focus, OR an advanced technical (A.S.) degree and/or equivalent experience in the cutting tool industry.
  • Several years of sales experience with industrial cutting tools focusing on new business development OR several years of manufacturing experience with the ability to sell in end-user and channel sales models.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or distribution marketplace.
  • Experience working independently from a home office and traveling a significant amount of time.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
  • Must live in Houston, Texas.
