Endicott College is looking for an Adjunct Faculty member to lead the educational and operational systems for La Chanterelle, a non-traditional classroom within the GSB Hospitality program. In this role, you will plan, organize, and deliver effective service industry management learning experiences using contemporary teaching pedagogy.
What You'll Do
- Manage La Chanterelle back-of-house baking operations, including assisting in purchasing, menu development, and equipment operation and maintenance.
- Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
- Schedule, direct, and coach Graduate Assistants and Practicum students in back-of-house activities.
- Develop and execute course material for HTM140 - Culinary Arts Operations.
- Achieve excellent ratings from students, colleagues, and guests regarding learning outcomes.
- Meet with students who request assistance or clarification on course-related matters.
- Abide by Endicott’s academic policies.
- Participate in hiring, orientation, training, and performance evaluation of Graduate Assistants and Practicum students.
- Supervise staff such as Graduate Assistants, Practicum students, and other support staff as needed.
- Prepare desserts and breads, with students, for special events as needed.
- Participate in financial planning and budgeting for La Chanterelle.
- Coach and assist students with course schedules and career planning relevant to student success.
- Establish a respectful and supportive learning environment where students build teamwork skills, self-confidence, and communication skills.
- Academically advise students as needed.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management, MBA, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of both classical and contemporary baking techniques, including experience preparing items from several cultures.
- Extensive management experience with a background in large volume F&B operations and fine dining.
- A minimum of two years of experience managing projects, resources, staff, and budgets.
- ServSafe Food Certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments.
- An excellent and welcoming presence in front of students, guests, and employees.
- Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive student issues with confidentiality.
- Strong computer experience, including the ability to work effectively with the MS Office suite and restaurant point of sale and inventory management software.
- Strong organizational skills, with a detail-oriented and thorough approach.
Nice to Have
- Experience teaching a related discipline at the high-school, college, or professional level.

Team & Environment
You will be a member of the Hospitality Management teaching team, reporting to the General Manager. Your primary supervisory responsibilities will be for Graduate Assistants and Practicum students.
