Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is seeking a Graduate Nurse for the 5A Telemetry Observation Unit at Allegheny General Hospital. You will be responsible and accountable for a designated patient population on this 38-bed Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), which focuses on rapid assessment, treatment, and monitoring for patients with acute medical conditions. You'll enact the nursing process to provide care for conditions such as chest pain, TIAs, and trauma.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate clinical assessment and care planning skills.
- Provide safe, effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
- Professionally direct and manage the activities of patient care delivery by team members.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
- Assess learning needs of patients and families, providing education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
What We're Looking For
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) or a Temporary Practice Permit.
- CPR certification.
Work Mode
This position is onsite at Allegheny General Hospital.
