Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Saint Vincent Hospital. You will perform various nuclear imaging procedures and therapies in line with our mission and standards of practice.
What You'll Do
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and resolving any quality issues
- Review patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures and equipment
- Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals following established protocols and regulations
- Prepare equipment and supplies, select exposure factors, implement safety standards, and perform quality control
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results, and monitor patient condition, responding to changes as needed
What We're Looking For
- An Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Alternatively, six months to one year of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company
- Nuclear Certification and Registration from ARRT or CNMT is required within 12 months of hire
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Nice to Have
- Prior nuclear medicine experience
