Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. (MEAU) is seeking a Global Industry Solutions Manager to drive growth in Mexico's top industrial markets. This role focuses on project solutions sales for our comprehensive line of automation products, including PLC, HMI, Servo, VFD, CNC, and Robot systems. You will develop target accounts and major projects within key verticals to be a significant contributor to MEAU's expansion.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategy for defined industry verticals to penetrate targeted accounts and major projects.
- Become the subject matter expert (SME) for selected industries, supporting internal teams as needed.
- Drive the specification of MEAU’s Automation Solutions from the top down within target accounts.
- Discover and validate key differentiators within target industry accounts, creating discovery agreements and securing commitments.
- Understand target market product trends and specifications, communicating requirements to Product and Solutions Marketing groups.
- Recommend focused marketing activities for the target industry and key accounts.
- Work with both End Users and original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) to coordinate application of MEAU products.
- Manage partnerships with internal and global resources at MEAU to accomplish objectives.
- Represent MEAU at important industry events and participate in industry specification activities.
- Create data, budgets, and reports to support the business, including monthly sales/marketing activity reports, quarterly industry trends/competition reports, and annual revenue forecasts.
- Manage Global Industry Solutions Managers/Specialists and an Inside Sales Specialist.
- Oversee daily activities and manage the performance of your staff.
- Supervise and direct activities for supporting personnel (services and project) for targeted accounts.
- Adhere to supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Perform interviews, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, and resolving team issues.
- Perform project management.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Manufacturing Engineering – or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years’ experience working with and managing sales activities of rep sales organizations.
- 7+ years’ experience in the defined market with in-depth knowledge of industry requirements and applications within the Automotive, Aerospace, F&B, and Electronic Industries.
- 5+ years’ experience selling automation solutions to senior-level contacts at national accounts in the defined market.
- Minimum of 5 years Application Solution Sales, and/or Strategic Sales and Marketing Experience at Fortune 1000 End User and OEM customers.
- Significant network of contacts and the ability to network effectively in the defined market.
- Demonstrated ability in industry marketing planning and execution.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional presence to deal effectively with senior-level contacts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn MEAU products and recommend technical applications to meet customer needs.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
