Join United-media as our Global Head of Event Operations. You will take ownership of a key business area, managing event operations and logistics for our series of 12 global private equity events annually. This role is based in-person at our London headquarters.
What You'll Do
- Source, compare, and select the best suppliers for diverse event needs.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential suppliers for add-ons and branding materials.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality services.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and address any issues proactively.
- Manage budgets, ensuring all changes are reviewed and raised ahead of time.
- Plan sponsored VIP events, lunches, dinners, and after-hours activities.
- Coordinate with venue staff to ensure all logistical details are in place.
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Condense and track internal team queries and communications.
- Maintain inventory tracking and regularly update event inventory sheets.
- Monitor Notion updates and ensure accurate reflection on the sponsor portal.
- Quality check design aspects such as banners, signage, brochures, and promotional materials.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience or knowledge in event planning, client management, or supplier research.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with a detail-focused approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A valid UK work permit (we do not sponsor visas).
Nice to Have
- Experience with graphic design software such as Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator.
